Danai, a former competitive runner, was first introduced to yoga in her teens, as a means of improving breathing, focus, and confidence for competition. Born and raised in Greece, she moved to London to study Psychology (BSc, MSc) and worked both in the clinical and corporate world.
She is 800-hour certified, after completing the Jivamukti yoga teacher training in New York with her beloved teachers Sharon Gannon, David Life, Yogeswari and Jeffrey Cohen, and a teaching apprenticeship under the invaluable guidance of Cat Alip-Douglas. She subsequently studied with Nadia Narain and qualified to teach pregnancy yoga.
Danai’s intention is to create a nurturing environment that facilitates the unfolding of the body, mind and heart of the students. She is consistently finding ways to deepen her practice and teachings of yoga through frequent investigation and inspiration from her teachers, students, the community, and nature. www.beloveitself.com
